Today’s young people are experiencing an epidemic of sex, drugs/alcohol, violence and suicide. In a Code Blue Media Awareness Presentation we will examine the influences that are contributing to this epidemic. We’ll examine today’s top music groups, movies, video games, websites and television. We will expose the lies the media is selling. We will educate young people, their parents and those who influence them, and empower them to make wise choices. We will cover the entire music spectrum from Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, Usher, Eminem, Fifty Cent, ICP, Nelly and even Country Music. We don't burn cd's and play records backwards but we do want young people to recognize the lies and the danger of allowing the media to influence and de-sensitize them. The average student spends six hours a day plugged into media. Most students today spend more time listening to and watching graphic sex, rape, sodomy, murder, violence suicide and pornographic images in the media than they do in the classroom. The question is, who is really educating our students and what are they teaching them? Is it really just harmless entertainment?

A Code Blue Youth Talk uses the very same media that captivates today's young people to get their attention, and keep it until the end of the talk. Using humor and a fast paced show geared toward the MTV generation, we will captivate our audience, showering them with facts, quotes, and lyrics. We will use multi-media like video's, electronic imagery, music and cutting edge computer technology presenting the truth in a manner they will understand. We will use photos, artist quotes, lyrics and video clips, live testimonials in addition to hearing from a survivor of rape and attempted murder, explaining how her best friend wasn't so lucky. You’ll hear from a survivor of a drunk driving accident and see and hear how her life is different, even though she wasn’t the one drinking. Students will also hear and see a letter from a young man who committed suicide and hear from a survivor of attempted suicide. They will also hear from a couple of young ladies who believed that there was such a thing as safe sex, and now are living with the consequences of an incurable STD.

We strive for a balanced approach knowing that not everyone will be influenced to have sex, be violent with someone or commit suicide, but that they will be affected in other ways, and are being desensitized to graphic sex, obscenity, and violence at the least. Find out why teens, parents, teachers, youth leaders and artists are blown away by this
presentation. Call today to schedule a live presentation of CODE BLUE.
